Hoje vamos começar uma série de artigos (clássicos do rock), que vão ser postados uma ou duas vezes por semana, e vão citar sempre uma música épica do rock.
Vamos usar só gravações ao vivo, nunca de estúdio, para manter o espirito e presença de palco, que fazem parte de toda a mística do rock.
Vamos começar com a banda americana Guns n’ Roses, dona de vários singles mundialmente conhecidos, mas com destaque para “Welcome to the Jungle”.
“Welcome to the Jungle” é a primeira canção de Appetite for Destruction, o álbum de estréia do Guns N’ Roses, lançado em 1987 e considerado um dos melhores álbuns de rock da história. A letra fala sobre o inferno que é viver numa cidade grande e os perigos que a cidade apresenta para quem lá se aventura em busca de prazeres. Tem a clássica frase “You know where you are? You are in the jungle, baby/ You’re gonna die!”. A música foi tocada a exaustão em rádios de todo o planeta e seu videoclipe também teve alta rotação na MTV. A música foi escrita por Axl Rose e composta pelo cantor em parceria com o guitarrista Slash.”
